Starting from February 1, 2025, ticket prices for VIP and Business class on the Afrosiyob high-speed trains will increase by 25%, while Economy class tickets will rise by 20%. Additionally, tickets for the high-speed passenger trains "Shark," "Nasaf," and "Uzbekistan" will see a 30% increase, reported the press service of JSC "Uzbekistan Railways."
“The purpose of these changes is to reform the railway infrastructure and cover costs for electricity and fuel, as well as logistics and transportation expenses, to update the passenger car fleet, purchase new electric trains, maintain railway stations according to modern standards, and ensure high-quality service for passengers,” the statement reads.
As a result, the ticket prices for the Afrosiyob trains will be as follows:
Tashkent – Bukhara:
VIP — 994,000 sums
Business — 751,000 sums
Economy — 484,000 sums
Tashkent – Karshi:
VIP — 854,000 sums
Business — 634,000 sums
Economy — 406,000 sums
Tashkent — Samarkand:
VIP — 619,000 sums
Business — 450,000 sums
Economy — 294,000 sums.
Previously, the President of Uzbekistan decreed that starting January 1, 2024, the practice of state regulation of tariffs for passenger transportation services on high-speed and fast trains would be abolished, transitioning to a regulation mechanism based on market principles.
