On January 5, the crew of the Airbus A320-214 (tail number UK32014) from Uzbekistan Airways, operating flight HY-9801 from Namangan to Perm, received information about the sudden closure of Bolshoye Savino Airport in Perm.

Flight acceptance and departure restrictions were in effect from 11:40 to 13:00 local time.

To ensure passenger safety, the crew decided to divert the aircraft to the backup airport Koltsovo in Yekaterinburg. After the restrictions were lifted, the plane successfully departed from Yekaterinburg at 13:55 and transported passengers to Perm.

Due to the emergency landing, the return flight HY-9802 from Perm to Namangan was delayed by 2 hours and 2 minutes.

Previously, we reported that on January 6, fog limited operations at three airports in Uzbekistan.
