Japan has imposed sanctions on a Kazakhstan-based company.

As part of the recently implemented sanctions against Russia, Japan has also imposed restrictions on a company from Kazakhstan, according to Bizmedia.kz.

As noted by the Japanese publication Nikkei, the decision was made during a meeting of the Japanese cabinet. A total of 335 items have been added to the list of goods prohibited for export, including components for crane engines, specialized equipment, and small motorcycles that could enhance Russia's industrial capabilities. Additionally, a ban has been imposed on the export of chemicals such as capsaicin, which could potentially be used to manufacture chemical weapons.

The export ban will take effect on January 23.

Moreover, 31 organizations from six countries suspected of aiding Russia in circumventing sanctions are also subject to restrictions. These organizations are located in Kazakhstan, the UAE, China, Kyrgyzstan, Thailand, and Turkey. The names of the organizations have not been disclosed in the report.

The list of frozen assets now includes 11 individuals, 29 organizations, and 3 banks from Russia, as well as one non-Russian individual and one foreign bank.

The Chief Cabinet Secretary of Japan, Yoshimasa Hayashi, emphasized that the country will continue to actively participate in international efforts to resolve the situation surrounding Ukraine, collaborating with the global community, including G7 nations.
