The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, extended his condolences to the Chairman of China, Xi Jinping, following the tragic earthquake in the Tibet Autonomous Region, which resulted in numerous casualties and injuries.
According to official reports, a magnitude 7.1 earthquake struck on the night of January 7. The epicenter was located 163 km from the city of Shigatse at a depth of 10 km. As a result of the disaster, 95 people lost their lives, and another 130 were injured.
Mirziyoyev expressed his support for the families of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery to all those affected.
