The chief engineer-meteorologist of the RGP "Kazhydromet" for Almaty and the region, Daulet Kisebaev, specified that heavy precipitation and a noticeable drop in temperature can be expected in the coming days.

On January 5 and 6, variable cloudiness is forecasted with no precipitation expected. Fog is anticipated during the night and morning hours. The southeast wind will be light, with speeds ranging from 2 to 7 m/s. Nighttime temperatures will fluctuate between -3 and -5°C, while daytime temperatures will rise to +1 to +3°C.

On January 7, variable cloudiness will continue without rain or snow. The wind will shift to a southwest direction, maintaining the same speed of 2-7 m/s. Nighttime temperatures will remain unchanged in the range of -3 to -5°C, while daytime temperatures will reach +2 to +4°C.

On January 8, overcast conditions are likely. Heavy precipitation in the form of rain and snow is expected, along with possible fog and slippery roads due to ice. The wind will be from the west, with speeds remaining at 2-7 m/s. Nighttime temperatures will stay at -3 to -5°C, while daytime temperatures will rise to 0 to +2°C.

On January 9, variable cloudiness is forecasted, but without rain or snow. Fog may occur in some areas, and ice will persist. The northwestern wind will remain at 2-7 m/s. Nighttime temperatures will drop to -9 to -11°C, while daytime temperatures will be between -3 and -5°C.

On January 10, variable cloudiness will continue, with no precipitation expected. Fog will reappear during the night and morning hours. The wind will shift to the northeast, maintaining the same speed of 2-7 m/s. Nighttime temperatures will be between -8 and -10°C, while daytime temperatures will reach 0 to -2°C.
