The EU special envoy commented on the potential for Rosatom to construct a nuclear power plant.

Given Russia's current policies, Kazakhstan should consider whether it wants to see Russia as a partner, stated David O’Sullivan, the EU's special envoy for sanctions, while discussing the potential construction of a nuclear power plant by Rosatom, as reported by Bizmedia.kz.
Специальный представитель ЕС прокомментировал вероятность строительства атомной электростанции компанией «Росатом».

“The EU does not have a specific position on this matter, as Kazakhstan is an independent state and if a decision is made, it will be made independently — which company from which country will build the nuclear power plant. Such a decision is up to your country.

However, I can express my perspective and share one opinion: considering the current policies of Russia, Kazakhstan should reflect on whether it wants to see Russia as its partner. That is the only question, and everything else remains within the jurisdiction of Kazakhstan,” stated David O’Sullivan.
