Elders of neighborhoods assisting underprivileged families will be entitled to receive a reward for their efforts.

Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to AN Podrobno.uz, the "Nurony" fund will make monthly incentive payments to the plastic cards of senior activists participating in the "From Poverty to Well-Being" program. Each recipient will receive an amount equivalent to 50% of the minimum wage, as reported by a Podrobno.uz correspondent.

The Cabinet has approved the regulation on this matter.

According to the document, three elders from among the active intelligentsia with significant life experience will be assigned to five impoverished families from the mahalla. The elders will assist them in overcoming poverty, providing education for the children, and promoting a healthy lifestyle within the mahallas.

Expenses for the elders' participation in sports events will be covered by the "Nuroni" fund. The total amount allocated for each mahalla should not exceed 10 million sums per year.

Additionally, the elders will submit requests for funding to purchase educational equipment, stationery, and sportswear for children from low-income families. Each family may receive no more than 750 thousand sums.
