Elders will join the fight against poverty in Uzbekistan.

The President of Uzbekistan approved a decree to engage active elders in the implementation of the program "From Poverty to Prosperity."

The elder generation will assist in improving the living conditions of low-income families and enhancing the social environment in neighborhoods.

Main tasks of the elders:

• assisting poor families in utilizing land plots;
• supporting the rental of equipment and mobile shops;
• linking children from low-income families with craftsmen and artisans;
• facilitating the provision of educational and sports supplies;
• promoting a healthy lifestyle and the rejection of harmful habits.

Active elders will work with families for six months, receiving a monthly incentive.

Additionally, funding from the "Nuroniy" Fund is allocated for the implementation of initiatives, including organizing sports events for elderly citizens.
