Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to AN Podrobno.uz, several wholesale stores have been demolished in the Yunusabad district of Tashkent. The local government explained that the owner disregarded a court ruling from 2022 regarding the dismantling of the stores and continued to expand the retail space.

According to the administration, the entrepreneur was ordered to demolish the structure and was fined for the illegal use of land.
Authorities reminded that in 2024, 355 illegal constructions were identified in the Yunusabad district, covering a total area of 5.3 hectares. Regardless of their purpose, such structures are subject to demolition.
Earlier, we reported that the demolition of stores sparked outrage among entrepreneurs and local residents. They claimed that the demolition began without any warning, workers damaged property, and sellers had to hurriedly remove their goods. On that day, the district administration did not respond to the editorial's inquiry.
