Tanzila Narbaeva met with the Chairman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation.

During her visit to Saint Petersburg, the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, Tanzila Narbaeva, held talks with the head of the Federation Council of Russia, Valentina Matviyenko, and the Chairman of the Senate of Kazakhstan, Maulen Ashimbayev.

At the meeting, they discussed the prospects for strengthening cooperation between the parliaments. They also reviewed the implementation of tasks outlined in the agenda of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the CIS and explored opportunities for developing new forms of interaction.

“We agreed on the implementation of the agreements reached and the establishment of an effective dialogue between regional representative bodies,” the statement said.
