The statement highlights that the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the CIS plays a crucial role in promoting democratic principles, developing parliamentarism and civil society institutions, as well as strengthening cooperation among the peoples of the member countries.
During the session, the assembly's involvement in organizing electoral processes in member states according to their legislation was emphasized. Particular attention was given to the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan to establish a Council of Heads of Electoral Bodies.
Additionally, during the session, Uzbekistan expressed support for model laws and recommendations that enhance multilateral cooperation and reflect the republic's interests in the legislative sphere.
