Tokayev has dismissed Azamat Eskaraev from his position as Minister of Justice.

Azamat Eskaraev has been relieved of his position as the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, according to Bizmedia.kz, referencing Akorda.

"By the decree of the Head of State, Yskaraev Azamat Nesipbaevich has been relieved of his duties as Minister of Justice," the official announcement states.

Azamat Yskaraev is a graduate of the Kazakh State Law Academy. He began his career in 2000 as a specialist at the Ministry of Justice, where he held various positions until 2005. He then served as the chief inspector for the akim of Almaty city.

From 2006 to 2007, Yskaraev worked in the legal service department of the Sustainable Development Fund "Kazyna," after which he returned to the Ministry of Justice.

From 2012 to 2014, he led the organizational and control department of the inspection of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From 2014 to 2019, he was the deputy head of the legal department of the Prime Minister's office, and from 2019 until January 2023, he headed this department.

On January 4, 2023, by the decree of the President, Azamat Yskaraev was appointed as the Minister of Justice.

Later, Akorda announced that the new Minister of Justice of Kazakhstan is Erlan Sarsembayev.
