Tokaev met with the head of the Kyrgyz presidential administration, Kasymaliev.

The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, held a meeting with Adylbek Kasymaliev, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan, as reported by Bizmedia.kz, citing Akorda.

During the negotiations, issues related to strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries were discussed.

Congratulating Adylbek Kasymaliev on his appointment, Tokayev emphasized the particular significance of his first official visit to Astana for further strengthening the friendly and allied relations between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

“Kazakh-Kyrgyz cooperation is developing dynamically. The visit of the esteemed Sadyr Nurgozhoevich Zhaparov to Kazakhstan last year gave a new impetus to our relations. Taking this opportunity, I extend my warm wishes to him,” noted the President.

According to Tokayev, one of the key tasks for the governments of both countries is to monitor the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level. Special attention was given to:

  • expanding trade turnover,
  • the accelerated launch of the Industrial Trade and Logistics Complex at the border,
  • creating favorable conditions for transit and transportation communication.

Kyrgyzstan Highly Values Cooperation with Kazakhstan

Adylbek Kasymaliev expressed gratitude for the hospitality and conveyed best wishes from the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Zhaparov.

“Our President attaches great importance to strengthening good-neighborly relations with brotherly Kazakhstan. Thanks to the agreements reached at the highest level, cooperation in political, economic, water-energy, cultural-humanitarian, and other areas is actively developing,” noted the head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan.
