Prices for liquefied natural gas in Kazakhstan have seen a slight increase.

The Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Almasadam Stakaliyev, has approved the maximum wholesale price for the sale of liquefied petroleum gas on the domestic market outside of commodity exchanges, as stated in the order dated December 25, 2024, according to Bizmedia.kz.
В Казахстане наблюдается незначительный рост цен на сжиженный природный газ.

According to the document, from January 1 to June 30, 2025, the maximum wholesale price for liquefied gas will be 45,158 tenge per ton, excluding VAT. The order comes into effect on January 1, 2025.

From July 1 to December 31, 2024, the same gas price was in effect. Previously, the price per ton was 40,320 tenge.

The increase in demand for liquefied gas, the low cost of resources compared to neighboring countries, and the unprofitability of production have compelled the Ministry of Energy to raise prices.
