Fog has disrupted operations at several airports in Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to AN Podrobno.uz, a thick fog disrupted operations at three airports in Uzbekistan—Nukus, Urgench, and Fergana—on the morning of January 6. The adverse weather conditions resulted in flight delays and temporary restrictions on the landing of aircraft, as reported by a Podrobno.uz correspondent.

According to information from the Uzbekistan Airports press service, a Uzbekistan Airways flight, HY-9638, traveling from St. Petersburg to Urgench, was diverted to a backup airfield in Bukhara due to poor visibility, landing there at 06:04.

The departures of flights HY-51 and HY-52 on the Tashkent – Urgench route and back have been postponed. Preliminary information indicates that the flight from Tashkent to Urgench is scheduled to depart at 12:00, with the return flight set for 14:15.

Weather conditions also affected flight HY-11 from Tashkent to Nukus, which has been rescheduled for 11:30 local time.

At Fergana Airport, aircraft landings were temporarily restricted. The US-401 flight operated by Silk Avia from Tashkent to Fergana has been moved to 11:20. However, the airport continued to operate normally for the departure of aircraft.

As of now, Fergana International Airport has fully restored flight arrivals and has returned to its regular operations.
