Uzbekistan Airways addressed the incident of harassment that occurred on one of its flights.

The Uzbekistan Airways company has officially commented on the incident involving a passenger who harassed a flight attendant on a plane traveling from Sochi to Tashkent.

Uzbekistan Airways reminded about its strict enforcement policy regarding violations of passenger conduct, which includes appropriate sanctions and active collaboration with law enforcement to hold offenders accountable.

On flight HY686 on December 31, 2024, one passenger violated onboard conduct rules: he consumed alcoholic beverages, reacted aggressively to the cabin crew's remarks, created discomfort for other passengers, and engaged in inappropriate behavior towards the airline staff, the company noted.

They also reported that the offender was found guilty under articles 41-1 (Sexual Harassment) and 187 (Consumption of Alcoholic Beverages in Public Places) of the Administrative Offenses Code of Uzbekistan. The individual was sentenced to five days of detention and fined an amount equivalent to 1 BRW.
