Uzbekistan and Malaysia have signed several agreements.

Following the negotiations in Kuala Lumpur, the President of Uzbekistan and the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim, signed a joint statement on the development of bilateral cooperation and the transition to a strategic partnership.

Both parties also agreed to sign several key documents, including:

• An agreement on cooperation in the field of product compliance with "halal" standards;
• An agreement on mutual assistance in customs matters;
• Agreements on cooperation in higher education, healthcare, and culture;
• An agreement on forensic activities;
• An agreement on academic-diplomatic cooperation;
• A protocol on the development of "smart" cities;
• A joint plan to combat corruption for the years 2025–2026.
