Uzbekistan has urged CIS countries to combat marketplaces that sell counterfeit goods.

Uzbekistan, Tashkent – Podrobno.uz. Uzbekistan has proposed to enhance the accountability of marketplaces for the sale of counterfeit goods. This initiative was presented during a meeting of the Task Force on Joint Investigations of Violations of Antimonopoly Legislation in the CIS, which took place in Samarkand.

According to the information from the Committee for the Development of Competition and Consumer Rights Protection, the majority of participants supported the initiative.

It is worth noting that delegations from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan participated in the event.

They also discussed key issues related to the prevention of anticompetitive agreements, tariff regulation, and the implementation of modern consumer rights protection mechanisms.
