Uzbekistan has strengthened its military position, ranking second among Central Asian countries, according to Global Firepower data. In the global army ranking, the country ranked 58th.
The top three armies in the ranking are those of Russia, the United States, and China, while India and South Korea complete the top five strongest armies in the world, taking the fourth and fifth places respectively. At the bottom of the list is the army of Bhutan.
Among Central Asian nations, Uzbekistan is only behind Kazakhstan, which holds the 57th position in the global ranking. Following are Turkmenistan (77th place), Kyrgyzstan (105th place), and Tajikistan (108th place).
The ranking was compiled based on 60 different criteria, including troop numbers, financial resources, technological advancements, mobility, geographical location, and other factors. A total of 145 countries' armies participated in the ranking.
