The Uzbek fencer clinched a bronze medal at the Youth World Cup stage.

The representative of the Uzbekistan fencing team, Samira Shokirova, has won a bronze medal at the youth World Cup stages in sabre and foil taking place in Colombia and the UAE. This was reported by the press service of the NOC.

"As a result of the competitions among the girls, our fencer Samira Shokirova was awarded the bronze medal," the statement reads.

The Uzbek foil fencers were unable to secure a spot among the medalists in the individual events.

Additionally, according to reports, today in Bogotá the men's events (sabre) will take place, while in Fujairah the women's events (foil) are scheduled.
