In 2025, Almaty plans to construct 35 kilometers of new roads.

In 2025, it is planned to carry out medium repairs on approximately 300 kilometers of roads and 30 kilometers of sidewalks in Almaty, as well as to construct 35 kilometers of new roads, according to Bizmedia.kz, citing the city's akimat.
В Алматы в 2025 году запланировано строительство 35 километров новых дорог.

The construction of new roads in the annexed territories, including the neighborhoods of Zhas Kanat, Shughyla, Almyrek, Akzhar, Rakhmat Madiniyet, and Boraldai, will significantly enhance transportation for over 70,000 residents.

These initiatives will increase the percentage of quality roads in the city from 92% in 2024 to 95% in 2025.

It is worth noting that last year, 255 streets in Almaty had their surfaces renewed, covering a total length of 250 km, 25 km of new roads were constructed, the Kuldzhinsky tract was expanded to six lanes, and an interchange at the intersection of Sain and Monke Bi streets was opened.

This year, Almaty plans to complete key infrastructure projects: the construction of an interchange at the intersection of Seyfullin Avenue and Jansugurov Street, the extension of Sain Street from Ryskulov Avenue to Akyn Sara Street, and the extension of Abay Avenue to the city border.

In May, a section of Abay Avenue from B. Momyshuly Street to the city limits will be put into operation. Its total length will be 5.3 km. The six-lane road will include bike lanes and sidewalks on both sides.

In the summer, work will be completed on the section of Sain Street from Ryskulov Avenue to Akyn Sara Street, spanning 3.2 km. This will reduce the traffic load on Momyshuly Street by 40%.

In June, the construction and landscaping of the interchange at the intersection of Jansugurov Street and Seyfullin Avenue are scheduled to be completed.
