At "Toshshahartranskhizmat," it was reminded that starting from January 1, 2025, cash payments will no longer be accepted on city buses. Now, to pay for a trip in cash, passengers need to purchase a single-use ticket with a QR code. To facilitate this, over 5,000 intermediate stops in Tashkent have been equipped with Paynet, MultiPay, and Oson kiosks. The ticket costs 3,000 sums.
A special working group consisting of controllers and inspectors from the Transport Inspection has begun operations to clarify the new rules for passengers. According to videos, they are also promoting the transition to cashless payments.
To save time and money, passengers are advised to pay for bus rides using electronic methods – either bank cards or ATTO transport cards, as well as mobile applications. In this case, the cost of a trip will be 1,700 sums.
It is worth noting that many city residents were unprepared for these changes. The topic of the new payment rules has already been discussed in the "Consumer" community. Uninformed citizens reported that at the beginning of January, their trips resulted in conflicts with drivers who refused to accept cash for fares.
