Experts have restored the functionality of the damaged telecommunications cable that runs along the bottom of the Baltic Sea, connecting Sweden to Lithuania, reports TASS, citing the Lithuanian branch of the Swedish operator Telia.
"Traffic on Telia in the Baltic Sea was restored on Thursday—after international communication between Lithuania and Sweden was disrupted nearly two weeks ago," the company's statement reads.
Previously, it was reported that the Swedish authorities classified the cable break in the Baltic Sea as an act of sabotage. The case is being handled by the National Police Authority.
