In Fergana, a criminal case has been initiated against a nanny for negligence towards a child, reports the press service of the Children's Ombudsman.
The incident occurred after a local resident traveled to Russia for work in August 2024, leaving her two-year-old daughter in the care of the nanny. On November 15, the girl fell from the stairs, sustaining a concussion and other life-threatening injuries. However, the nanny did not seek medical assistance.
In December, a criminal case was opened against the woman under Article 117 (Leaving in Danger) of the Criminal Code. She faces up to 300 hours of community service or corrective labor for up to two years. An investigation is ongoing.
