In Kashkadarya, a man inflicted a knife wound on a preventive inspector who was attempting to avert a domestic dispute. The assailant has been apprehended, reported Rasul Kusherbaev, advisor to the Minister of Ecology of Uzbekistan.

The inspector was trying to intervene as the man threatened to kill his wife and child when he was suddenly attacked with a knife.

A criminal case has been initiated in the Kashkadarya region under Article 219 of the Criminal Code (Resistance to a representative of authority or a person performing civic duty). The suspect has been detained.

The investigation is ongoing.
