March UNT has begun in Kazakhstan, with 163,000 individuals registering to participate.

The National Testing Center (NTC) of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan announced that the March Unified National Testing (ENT) has commenced in Kazakhstan and will run until April 6, according to Bizmedia.kz.

According to information from the NCT, 163,000 individuals have applied to participate in the testing. Of these, 76% opted for the Kazakh language for the test, 23.9% chose Russian, and 162 individuals selected English. When submitting their applications, entrants choose the date, time, and location for the testing. On the first day, 775 individuals will take the test.

The most popular subject combination among applicants is "Biology-Chemistry," accounting for 17.5%. These subjects are taken by future medical professionals, teachers, and agricultural specialists. Following this are the combinations "Mathematics-Physics" at 17.1% and "Mathematics-Computer Science" at 10.5%, which are pursued by future engineers and IT specialists.

The number of subjects in the UNT remains the same — three mandatory and two elective. The total number of questions is 120, including 20 on "History of Kazakhstan," 10 on "Reading Literacy," 10 on "Mathematical Literacy," and 40 each on the two specialized subjects. The maximum score is 140. The testing duration is 4 hours (240 minutes). Additional time of 40 minutes is allocated for children with special educational needs.

The March UNT involves entrants who have been conditionally admitted to universities in full-time paid programs, graduates from previous years and colleges, Kazakhs who are not citizens of Kazakhstan, as well as this year's graduates planning to enroll in universities on a paid basis.

We remind you that the January UNT concluded on February 10, with 164,000 participants. The average score was 65.8, with a maximum score of 139. A total of 186 entrants scored over 130 points.
