Kazakhstan has approved regulations for the import and export of precious stones and jewelry.

The Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan has approved regulations for the import of precious stones, jewelry, and other products into Kazakhstan from non-EAEU countries, as well as for their export to these countries. Additionally, the rules cover the import and export of unprocessed natural diamonds in accordance with the Kimberley Process certification scheme, as reported by Bizmedia.kz.
В Казахстане введены новые правила для ввоза и вывоза драгоценных камней и ювелирных изделий.

The approved regulations state that when importing precious stones, jewelry, and other items into Kazakhstan from non-EAEU countries on a commercial basis, an authorized organization conducts an examination.

Next, it is necessary to undergo the state control procedure by submitting the following documents:
an electronic copy of the foreign trade contract, its annex or amendment;
an electronic copy of the expert conclusion from the authorized organization.

The state control act is prepared and issued to the applicant within 1 working day from the moment the documents are received.

After that, customs operations related to customs declaration and clearance must be carried out.
