The Ministry of Ecology announced additional individuals who may be granted the title of "Eco-Active Citizen."

Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to AN Podrobno.uz, losing excess weight and reducing plastic usage will also contribute to achieving the status of "Eco-Active Citizen." This was announced by the Ministry of Ecology. It was previously reported that this status would be granted to individuals who walk at least 10,000 steps daily.

A complete list of actions that can earn the status of "Eco-active Citizen":

  • walking 10,000 steps or more in a day;

  • losing excess weight;

  • reducing waste and plastic usage;

  • regularly using public transport;

  • switching to electric vehicles;

  • planting a large number of trees;

  • striving for energy efficiency – installing solar panels on homes, motion sensors in lighting fixtures, and covering building facades with energy-saving materials;

  • conserving electricity, gas, and water;

  • actively participating in community work in the field of ecology.

This status will grant discounts on government services and lower interest rates on consumer loans. Additionally, holders will receive bicycles, scooters, and other eco-friendly modes of transport as gifts.

These measures aim to foster a desire for an eco-friendly lifestyle and enhance the ecological culture of the population, while reducing the impact of daily activities on the environment. However, these are still just proposals that are open for discussion, which will continue until January 22.
