The Ministry of Energy discussed issues related to charging stations for electric vehicles.

Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to AN Podrobno.uz, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan to discuss issues related to the operation of charging stations for electric vehicles, as reported by a Podrobno.uz correspondent.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Energy, the event, chaired by Deputy Minister Umid Mamadaminov, saw participation from representatives of the ministry, the Prosecutor General's Office, "Uzenergoinspection," the Cadastre Agency, "Territorial Electric Networks," "Green Energy," the Tashkent administration, as well as leaders of companies managing charging station networks.

One of the main topics of the meeting was addressing rumors regarding the alleged unjustified disconnection of charging stations in Tashkent, which had been circulating in the media and social networks. Business representatives shared their challenges and raised questions that need resolution.

The ministry assured that its position remains unchanged: no directives for disconnecting charging stations have been issued. Furthermore, the agency emphasized the importance of electric vehicles in preserving Uzbekistan's ecology.

During the dialogue, entrepreneurs were reminded of the necessity to adhere to the procedures established by legislation in the energy sector. Participants also agreed to organize such meetings more frequently to discuss current issues, consider business perspectives, and develop joint proposals.

The initiative to conduct open dialogues was supported by all attendees.

It is worth noting that in Uzbekistan, electricity rates for charging electric vehicles will be differentiated based on the time of day.
