Opposition and ruling coalition deputies, led by the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SPP),
engaged in a brawl in the Assembly (parliament), which was streamed live on the legislative assembly's website.
As government members, headed by Prime Minister Miloš Vučević, entered the chamber, opposition members stood up and raised banners. A scuffle ensued, during which deputies splashed water on each other, threw paper, and grabbed each other by the hair, arms, and clothing.
“I urge all deputies to return to their seats immediately! This is a disgrace for this house! Sit down immediately!” exclaimed the parliamentary speaker Ana Brnabić.
