On December 6, in the Surkhandarya region, young schoolchildren were made to dance in light clothing in the cold during the opening ceremony of a railway bridge in the Denau district. This was reported by the press service of the Children's Ombudsman.
Following the directive from the district culture department, 20 students from music schools No. 14 and No. 16 were involved in the event, with 16 girls and 4 boys performing outdoors in low temperatures.
The Children's Ombudsman contacted the Ministry of Culture, demanding that those responsible be held accountable and that measures be taken to prevent similar incidents in the future.
The Ministry has taken action by holding the accountable officials to disciplinary standards and has issued instructions to strictly prohibit unjustified participation of schoolchildren in events that threaten their health.
