On February 28, environmental inspectors began checks and raids in Tashkent due to the deterioration of air quality, reports Uzhydromet.
According to monitoring data, the concentration of fine particulate matter PM 2.5 in the capital reached 87.36 µg/m³ in the morning, which is 2.49 times higher than the permissible limit (35 µg/m³).
The authorities have also announced the preparation of proposals to improve the ecological situation in the city. Government agencies and a group of scientists are involved in developing the action plan.
