В Ташкенте введены штрафы за оплату проезда на автобусе наличными.

As of January 1st, cash payments for bus fares in Tashkent have been discontinued. This has led to an increased demand for single tickets among passengers who do not possess a transport or bank card.

“If a passenger attempts to pay the fare in cash, the driver should not accept it,” — states Salimjan Nishonbaev, an inspector from the Tashkent City Territorial Department of Transport Control Inspection.

“The situation is monitored by territorial inspectors of the Transport Inspection. A warning is issued for the first offense. If the violation occurs again, despite the warning, an administrative protocol will be drawn up against both the driver and the passenger as per established procedures,” — the inspector added.

This decision will be made based on Article 144 (bus fare evasion) and Article 145 (bus transport of passengers without a ticket) of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
