Three individuals were arrested in Tashkent for the illegal sale of snus.

In the Shaykhantahur district of Tashkent, law enforcement officials detained three men for the illegal sale of tobacco products, according to the General Prosecutor's Office.

The offenders were caught on Takhtapul Street while attempting to sell 800 packs of snus brands "Vello-4" and "Vello-6," produced abroad.

The total value of the products amounted to 66.3 million sums (5,000 dollars).

A criminal case has been initiated regarding the violations under Article 186-1 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan, which provides for liability for the illegal trafficking of tobacco products.

An investigation is underway.
