In Tashkent, employees of the department under the Prosecutor General's Office, in collaboration with the State Security Service, customs authorities, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, conducted an operation that led to the discovery and seizure of large batches of illegal pharmaceuticals.
A cargo truck of the Isuzu brand, driven by a citizen named D.K., was detained in the parking lot of a shopping complex in the Chilanzar district. The vehicle was found to contain 42,777 packages of pharmaceuticals across 32 different types, all without supporting documents. The medications were intended to be transferred to another vehicle.
During the inspection, it was also revealed that 72,540 packages of pharmaceuticals across 26 types were stored in the home of citizen Sh.K. in the city of Chirchik, Tashkent region.
Furthermore, citizen U.N. delivered 70 boxes of pharmaceuticals to a warehouse in Bukhara owned by LLC "F.Ph.". An additional 89,000 packages of illegal drugs were seized from the warehouse.
All discovered pharmaceuticals have been confiscated as evidence. Criminal proceedings have been initiated based on Article 186-3 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan. The investigation is ongoing.
