A tender has been announced in Uzbekistan for the construction of the Tashkent-Andijan toll road.

The Ministry of Economy and Finance has announced a tender for the design, construction, financing, management, and maintenance of the Tashkent-Andijan toll road. The project will be implemented based on a public-private partnership (PPP).

The first phase of the project will cover a section of 171 km, including the road from Tashkent to Andijan and the Kamchik Pass. The project concept was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers on January 21, 2025.

To implement the project, the government has engaged a consortium of consultants, which includes Arup and Partner’s (UK), PWC (Uzbekistan), and CMS Cameron (UK), with support from the World Bank.

The tender will be conducted in two stages. In the first stage, companies will be able to submit applications for pre-qualification. In the second stage, selected participants will present their technical and financial proposals. The first stage of the tender will start on April 21, 2025, at 18:00.

The tender winner will be required to sign a long-term cooperation agreement within the framework of the PPP for the project's implementation.
