A creative contest titled "Onajonim – Nature" will take place in Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to AN Podrobno.uz, the Ministry of Ecology, in collaboration with the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan, has announced the launch of a creative works competition titled "Ona Jonim – Tabiyat" ("Mother – Nature"). The top submissions will be published, as reported by a Podrobno.uz correspondent.

The competition is dedicated to the start of the "Year of Environmental Protection and the 'Green' Economy."

Entries for the competition will be accepted until May 20, 2025. These may include poems, stories, and artistic works focused on the rational use of natural resources, their restoration, and the prevention of negative impacts of human activities on nature, as well as the improvement of sanitary and ecological conditions.

Winners will be determined in the categories of "Best Poetry," "Best Story," "Best Drama," and "Best Documentary Literature." The winners will be announced on the eve of June 5 – World Environment Day. They will receive cash prizes:

  • for first place – 8.5 million sums;

  • for second place – 5.1 million sums;

  • for third place – 1.7 million sums.

The selected works from the competition will be included in a book.

We remind you that the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan is holding a national competition for the best song about Tashkent, with the winner receiving a Chevrolet Monza car.
