In Uzbekistan, employers are now required to enter into electronic labor contracts.

Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to AN Podrobno.uz, a procedure for formalizing electronic labor contracts has been established in Uzbekistan, reports a correspondent from Podrobno.uz.
В Узбекистане работодателей обязали оформлять трудовые договоры в электронном виде.

The relevant resolution was issued by the Cabinet of Ministers on December 27, 2024.

According to the document, the Unified National Labor System (UNLS), which has been operational since December 2019, will now allow the drafting of employment contracts in electronic format. Such contracts must be signed by both parties using an electronic digital signature (EDS) through their personal accounts. Similarly, additional agreements to the contracts will also be certified in this manner.

The mandatory use of electronic contracts via the UNLS platform applies to all employers. Paper employment contracts must also be registered in the system, except in cases related to confidential staffing schedules or activities in the field of national security.

It is worth noting that the online registration of employment contracts and electronic employment records has been implemented by the government of Uzbekistan since 2020. These measures have enabled employees to access information about their work history and add data regarding previous places of employment.
