В Узбекистане планируют реорганизацию тепличных хозяйств.

The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted resolution No. 777 on November 21, 2024, regarding the support and revitalization of greenhouse enterprises.

Main measures include:

  • Commercial banks will establish investment companies to manage greenhouses.
  • Greenhouse complexes will be allowed to sell to investors, including relocation to other regions.
  • Loans for repairs and working capital will be issued with additional collateral.
  • Foreign currency loans can be converted into national currency.

To enhance crop yields, experienced agronomists will be involved. The "Entrepreneurship Development Company" will renegotiate guarantee and compensation agreements with the new owners of the enterprises. Additionally, when converting loans to national currency, compensations will be provided if the interest rate exceeds 4% from the Central Bank, but not more than 1.75 times the base rate.

Assets under collateral can be re-evaluated and sold through electronic auctions.

The pilot project will begin in the Khorezm region and will subsequently be implemented nationwide.
