В Узбекистане распускается Комитет по развитию шелководства и шерстяной промышленности.

In Uzbekistan, the Committee for the Development of Sericulture and the Wool Industry will be dissolved according to the decree of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The functions of the committee will be transferred to the Ministry of Agriculture, the Committee for Veterinary Medicine, and the association "Uzbekipaksanoat."

As part of the decree, new structures will be established, including regional pasture management organizations in several areas and a Pasture Development Department under the Committee for Veterinary Medicine. These measures aim to enhance pasture management and promote their rational use.

By December 1, 2025, the launch of the electronic platform E-yaylov is planned, which will optimize pasture usage and increase the transparency of their allocation. Pastures will be leased for a duration of up to 49 years. A Republican Commission will coordinate the protection of pastures and the development of karakul sheep breeding, leather, and wool industries.

Previously, decree No. 46 dated January 29, 2025, was adopted, titled "On Measures for the Gradual Employment of Women in the Sericulture Sector." According to this document, a "roadmap" for short-term training of women in sericulture courses, their involvement in the industry, and the establishment of a phased employment support system has been approved.
