In Uzbekistan, owners of solar panels have received over 12 billion sums in subsidies.
Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to AN Podrobno.uz, in 2024, over 10,800 citizens of Uzbekistan received subsidies totaling 12.2 billion sums for supplying solar energy to the electrical grid. During this period, they contributed 12.2 million kilowatt-hours to the energy system, reports a correspondent from Podrobno.uz.

The highest number of subsidies was received by residents of the Khorezm region (2.8 billion sums), Karakalpakstan (1.9 billion sums), and the city of Tashkent (1.4 billion sums).
The financial support program for the sale of excess green electricity has been in effect since April 2023. For every kilowatt-hour of electricity transferred, Uzbeks receive 1,000 sums. Additionally, solar panel owners can take advantage of tax benefits.
Subsidies can be transferred to a bank card via the Soliq mobile app in the "Solar Home" section.
