In Uzbekistan, a teenager and his accomplices were detained for attempting to join ISIS.

The law enforcement agencies of Uzbekistan have detained a 17-year-old resident of the Tashkent region along with 16 of his acquaintances who were planning to join a terrorist organization.

According to data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the teenager was influenced by extremist ideas through the internet and established an illegal community.

A criminal case has been initiated under Article 244 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan ("Mass Rioting").

An investigation is underway.
