In accordance with the introduced heightened readiness regime for the flood period of the territorial civil protection system, continuous monitoring of water bodies in the East Kazakhstan region is being conducted. Currently, more than 156,000 cubic meters of snow have been removed. A total of 2,511 personnel, 242 motor pumps, 46 rescue boats, and over 800 units of other equipment are on standby for emergency response. Additionally, 64,000 bags, 9,323 tons of inert materials, and more than 263 tons of fuel and lubricants have already been prepared.
Residents are also advised to be prepared for potential flooding. To do this, they should clear their yards of snow and ensure that ditches and channels are free of ice to facilitate the drainage of melting water. It is also recommended to gather bags and available materials for barricading.
