Three individuals have been convicted for bribery in the East Kazakhstan region.

The Ust-Kamenogorsk court has announced the verdict for three individuals involved in a corruption scheme, reports Bizmedia.kz.

In accordance with the principle of "law and order," the Anti-Corruption Agency has brought charges against three participants in a corruption scheme.

Entrepreneur Dluzevskiy K. paid a bribe of 4.5 million tenge for the issuance of a gold mining permit to the head of the regional ecology department, Aliyev D. The intermediary in this scheme was Zhurbayev M.

All of them were found guilty by the court and sentenced to various terms of punishment. Aliyev received 4 years of imprisonment, Zhurbayev — 1 year and 6 months, and Dluzevskiy — 3 years and 6 months of imprisonment, along with a 5-year ban on holding managerial positions in the field of mineral extraction.

Additionally, all convicted individuals have been permanently disqualified from holding managerial positions in public service and the quasi-public sector.

The court's decision has not yet entered into legal force.

To prevent similar incidents, the court's ruling was announced online in the presence of employees from the Ecology Committee and its territorial departments.
