During the 149th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), held in Geneva, a Day of Uzbekistan was organized to showcase the country and its ongoing reforms, reports UzA.
Delegations from various countries, members of parliaments, representatives of international organizations, and the diplomatic corps participated in the event.
Participants were shown a video highlighting the rich history of the country, its values, and cultural heritage. An exhibition showcasing Uzbekistan's tourism potential helped foreign partners gain a better understanding of the nation.
A presentation was also held regarding the upcoming 150th Assembly of the IPU, scheduled for April of next year.
The meeting focused on issues related to the effective use of parliamentary influence and powers in improving the system of decent work.
