In Tashkent, a teaching assistant at the private kindergarten First Daycare in the Yunusabad district taped a child to a chair because he refused to eat during lunch. The incident was captured on video and spread across social media on February 21. The Tashkent Department of Education commented on the incident.

The footage shows that another staff member was present at the time of the incident. Following the video's release, the kindergarten administration terminated the employment contracts of both teaching assistants.

Law enforcement agencies have initiated an investigation into the matter.
