Some military personnel in Kazakhstan may be equipped with video badges.

The head of the Department of Educational and Ideological Work of the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan, Tleukhan Bashkhozhayev, discussed the measures being taken to combat hazing within the Armed Forces, as reported by a Bizmedia.kz correspondent.
Некоторые военные в Казахстане могут быть оснащены видеожетонами.

Tleukhan Bashkhozhayev reported that there are over 12,000 cameras in the armed forces. He added that not all cameras are located in barracks and garrisons. A certain priority is given to warehouses and armament bases.

“New analytical services are currently being introduced based on these cameras – positions for operators have been established in military units, meaning that the camera doesn't just observe; a designated operator watches and analyzes the behavior of servicemen, and is responsible for reporting all incidents and shortcomings to the higher command. In the future, an expansion of this component is planned,” the speaker explained.

Additionally, there are plans to introduce video tokens.

“To reduce costs while achieving results, we are working on providing video tokens for those on duty for a 24-hour shift – this will also ensure visibility and transparency in these matters,” Tleukhan Bashkhozhayev concluded.
