The court sentenced Ludmila Gracheva, who promised to help mitigate Bishimbaev's sentence, to 10 years in prison. The convicted individual attempted to receive a bribe of 100 million tenge from the family of the former Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan.
Today, October 28, the interdistrict court for criminal cases in Astana delivered a guilty verdict against Gracheva for 10 years of imprisonment, reports Informburo. The Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic investigated the case at the initiative of the mother of Kuandyk Bishimbaev.
According to lawyer Erlan Gazymzhanov, Gracheva assured the former minister's family that she would help reduce his sentence for the murder of Saltanat Nukenova. However, Gazymzhanov stated that there was no bribe: the convicted individual's family handed Gracheva fake banknotes.
