Oibek Eshonov has been appointed as the new ambassador of Uzbekistan to Indonesia, succeeding Ulughbek Rozikulov in this role.
Eshonov, who has arrived in Jakarta, is 57 years old and graduated from the Faculty of Oriental Studies at Tashkent State University (now the National University of Uzbekistan), as well as from the Academy of Public Administration.
Previously, he served as the ambassador of Uzbekistan to Israel from 2008 to 2017 and held the position of head of the Foreign Ministry's Department for Cooperation with South Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
