Russia has expressed its readiness to assist Uzbekistan in investigating the case regarding the assassination attempt on former presidential press secretary Komil Allamjonov and the head of the Agency for National Prospective Projects Dmitry Li. This was reported by the political analyst Ilya Grashchenkov, president of the Center for Regional Policy Development in Russia (CRRDP).
It was previously revealed that two Russian citizens, Bislan Rasaev and Shamil Temirkhanov, have been placed on an international wanted list at Uzbekistan's request. They are suspected of being involved in this crime.
Ilya Grashchenkov noted that Russia and Uzbekistan are strategic partners, with their trade turnover reaching 8.5 billion dollars in 2023. The leaders of both countries also agreed to collaborate in the fight against terrorism.
“Russia must demonstrate its willingness to support partners in such situations. If the suspects are on Russian territory, it is essential to assist Uzbekistan in their search and extradition,” Grashchenkov emphasized.
The matter has already been referred to the competent authorities, and it is expected that they will take the necessary steps to aid the investigation. The partnership between Russia and Uzbekistan is confirmed not only in the economic sphere but also in the legal domain, particularly in combating common threats.
On October 26, around 01:40, unknown assailants opened fire on a "Range Rover" vehicle on Ifor Street in the Kibray district. After several shots, the attackers fled in an unknown direction.
